Oh my gosh, I LOVE THIS! Beautiful words, beautiful presentation! Claire, the look in your eyes is so mischievous and pleased with itself, like they’re holding a special secret that they know we’ll be delighted to receive. You embody your poem. I am looking forward to seeing more of these videos, so fun and daring. Love you! ❤️
YEEESSS indeed! Let's exist in this sweet way together. Thank you for reflecting back the joy and play this touched in you :) Sending you a flip of my tail from all the way over here! x
You’ve inspired me to write poetry! My imperfect attempts will be more than enough. I want to be proud that I’m rooted, bare, and enough. And I want to play like dolphins every day, too. Why DO we only take 2 weeks each year to play?!?!?!? Thank you for the gift of your words.
Ahhh! Thank you, Christine, for listening and for sharing this lovely comment. I can't wait to read/listen to your poetry! Here's to being and playing like trees and dolphins :) So glad my words spoke to you x
Claire--whatever the hell it is, it's beautiful!! I also want to be a poem and a tree and a dolphin, all for the same reasons. You should get this published somewhere. A literary journal would be happy to accept it, I'm sure.
Thank you so much, Karen! Your words mean a lot. I love that this resonated with you - and that you want to join me in living like this wonderful mix of things!
And oh, the thought of publishing it somewhere… that would be wonderful. If you know of any journals that might welcome a piece like this, do let me know. The story I'm telling myself is that there isn't anywhere that would - but I am open to being wrong. Sharing here, on my own terms, with all of you, feels really good too. :)
That oak tree... be still my heart! Yes, let me be like that 300-year-old oak. Heavy with wisdom and content to be rooted right here and now. <3
Mmmmm. Yes. That oak tree energy. I'm imaging us side by side, roots planted, in the same field together. We can be poem-writing oak trees together :)
