A poem? A journal entry? Who knows

But it brought me joy

Hi lovely humans,

I wrote this at the writing circle I hosted in January, and I don’t know if it’s a poem or creative journaling – I’m not sure it matters. Writing it gave me an access point to joy when joy felt impossible. Writing can do that. So can joy. Both can surprise us with their stubbornness.

I wanted to share it with you. It’s not polished, but it’s true. And I’d love to hear what it touches in you.

In the writing circles, when we each share, the invitation to the group is to respond along these lines:

As I listen to your words, I feel… or What your words are touching in me is…

We don’t do analysis or offer critique – we practice seeing each other, just as we are, with the words we write in our thirty minutes private writing time, as the doorway to that exchange.

If hearing my words here touches something in you, I’d love for you to share in the comments, in that same way.

With love and creativity,

p.s. If you’d like to explore your own words in a space like this, we next gather on 13th/14th February. All the details are here. Maybe joy will find you too.
